New Year? Why Not Try Something New?

Firstly, happy new year to everyone! Now that it's a new year, why not try something new? Something that combines western and eastern approaches.

Acupuncture is an age-old technique used in traditional Chinese medicine. It involves the use of thin needles placed into the body at acupuncture points to elicit changes in and balance out qi (prounounced "chee"). Qi is the energy flow that is an active part of a person's being.

Acupuncture can produce and sometimes even speed up natural healing responses within the body. Therapeutic effects from acupuncture include:

  • Pain relief
  • Increased energy
  • Improved mood
  • Improved body function

At Kensington Square Physiotherapy, our therapists are certified with the professional designation, CAFCI (Certified by Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute). The designation sets a high standard and ensures practitioners are safe and effective.

If you're interested in acupuncture but aren't sure it's right for you, call in to speak with one of our therapists. They'll provide you with more detail about the process and answer any concerns.
